Find items that complement your own personal style, as well as that of your surroundings. For instance, if you have a lush Mediterranean garden, filling your backyard with sleek, modern furniture and accessories will seem out of place. |
But on that note: It is ok to mix and match styles, but find a common denominator to merge them -- such as color or finish -- so that everything seems part of one whole. |
