Design 101 - Color for Fall Planters

As we transition from the bonanza of summer flowers to early fall and winter there are several things you can do to keep your outdoor space colorful and vibrant. Late Blooming Plants
Remove spent annuals from your planters and replace them with fall blooming mums, grasses and any annual that your local nursery may still have on hand.
Fall is also an excellent time for planting grasses and perennials for next year. It’s easier to select colors and foliage textures now that blend with current plantings before they die off. Artificials
Outdoor artificial foliage is now available in many different grasses, flowering plants, boxwood and ivy. Mix them with living plants or replant window boxes and containers for color even in snow or cold weather.
Colorful Planters
Contemporary designed planters are now available in a wide variety of very bright colors and shapes that add not only color but also design flair.
