Design 101 - Hollywood Regency Design Style

Hollywood Regency is a California design style that has experienced an enthusiastic renaissance as of late.  This gloriously over the top opulent design style is a mix of English, French Regency, Greek Revival, Asian and mid-century modern designs.  As a result it can look very different from designer to designer and room to room.

William Haines is considered the father of Hollywood Regency.

Kelly Wearstler is one of the most prominent of the contemporary designers working in the Hollywood Regency style.  She gets our attention because she's done some highly visible outdoor spaces with her work for the Viceroy Hotels.
