In the past couple of years we have received several requests from customers wanting to use our ivy or boxwood tiles to cover their outdoor balcony railings to create privacy or block the view of an unappealing landscape in the distance.

At the time we did not have a ready made product or do-it yourself method for them to use. But it started us thinking about how to do it and after testing several design styles we feel we have created a winner.

The Balcony Rail Hedge easily slips over the top of almost any railing creating a very lifelike hedge with complete privacy from prying eyes. It comes in easy to handle 2’ wide sections and various heights to accommodate almost any height of railing. Smaller widths can also be done to match the exact length of your railing.

Each Rail Hedge section is made to the height you desire up to a maximum height of 48’’. Corner sections of 90° are also available. The hedge sections butt together on the rail producing a seamless lifelike hedge look.
