The covered terrace, in my mind, is yet another distinction in outdoor spaces. Elevated but not a balcony as it does not project from the wall of the house or building. Open on more sides than a loggia but not a porch as they have no outside access. A terrace is a platform extending from the floor of a house or building and it is often not covered but this week I sought out the comfort of covered terraces.
Since starting HomeInfatuation.com the outdoor living industry has evolved so fast year to year that the inside joke has been that if we wish it a manufacturer will make it. So needless to say we are big fans of the wish list. Before heading to the Casual Living Show and starting the new buying season we have a well developed list of wishes. Hard to let a summer of daydreaming go by without thinking of "A Midsummer Night's Dream". There are many versions of this Shakespearean classic but I will forever gravitate towards the ballet version.
